Martina Riva is a PhD student in “Psychology, Linguistics and Cognitive Neuroscience” under the supervision of Prof. Carlo Cecchetto and Beatrice Giustolisi.
She graduated in Neuroscience and Neuro-psychological Rehabilitation at the University of Bologna with an experimental thesis on late talkers, supervised by Prof. Alessandra Sansavini. Then, she carried out a year of research fellowship within the European project “Realising Leibniz’s Dream: Child Languages as a Mirror of the Mind.”
During her doctoral research, she will investigate linguistic and cognitive aspects related to Italian Sign Language (LIS) and bimodal bilingualism.
