We are interested in the development of pragmatic competence in typical and atypical children, and in the resolution of pragmatic tasks in adult individuals. By means of different experimental techniques, we investigate the comprehension of implicit discourse contents, the computation of logical and pragmatic inferences, the comprehension of non-literal meanings (methapor and irony in particular), also modulating contextual and individual variables that might intervene in the process of pragmatic ambiguity resolution.
